It’s not just Murder Season. It’s Murder Championship.
Murder Inc. comes back from being down over 100 pins in game 1 to defeat Royal Flush and win the Wilder Cup. It’s been Murder Inc’s mantra the whole season – being down, but not being out.
That theme was the crux of the season, where after building a huge lead in the regular season only to be surpassed by Da Garden Foundation as they won the New Jersey Northwest Regular season title. Murder Inc. came storming back to defeat them for the District Title, then rolled to the Elite Eight and Battle Bowl.
Once getting to Battle Bowl, they once again found themselves trailing to Secret Society in the Elite 8 and the (previously) undefeated Hitmen in the semi-final match. However, they found ways to prevail by putting pressure on their opponents and forcing them into costly errors. In the title match, Royal Flush started with 8 opens in the first 3 frames and Murder Inc. jumped all over it. They ran away with the middle pair by over 200 pins, and that was enough to steal the wood and win the match.
So what next for Murder Inc.? Can they keep the title run going and continue a string of dominance for the NJNW? Or will someone else continue the run? We shall see during the next tour chase, which starts in September.
