ALL-IN!: 24 THE CHOSEN ONES: 16
All-In! stays in first and is one of the few teams to take a loss in District Play, but this one was close. Andrew Wallace (708) and Michael Wichner (705) to take the overall wood by 23, and hence stay in first place. The Chosen Ones chose not to have anyone shoot a 700 series besides Thomas Lindsay (716), and hence choose to remain in 4th.
PHILLY HORSEMEN: 32, SOUTHAMPTON SAMURAI: 8
Mark Ratner (738) and William Darling (714) lead the Scratch Trio to a 257 pin blowout and coast to the win based on that. James Little Jr. shot a 743 for the Samurai, but that scratch loss…woof. The Samurai fall to 18-62 over their past 2 weeks while the Horsemen move to 4th – but – they have had their bye already and All-In hasn’t. Can All-In make enough of a dent to ward off their pursuers when their bye does show up?
MERCER MAYHEM: 28, SMURF NATION: 12
The Mayhem take their first win of the season, care of Paul Carlisi’s 705. Conversely, the Smurfs take their first loss of the year, because after Matt Pemper’s 708, the rest of the Smurfs shot a ridiculous 612 pins under average. Maybe their village was under seige as they see their deficit from first increase to 27 points.
VOODOO: 30, BROAD STREET BULLIES: 10
Not much to say on this one. No one shoots a 7 and Voodoo wins because they don’t get in their way and don’t shoot 264 pins under their average like BSB does. The Bullies are still looking for victory #1 while Voodoo, 60-20 for the past 2 weeks, and only 4 points out of a playoff spot.
