If there’s one thing we have seen this past weekend – it’s that the people that have run the building for awhile may not be running the building anymore. Or at least the superintendent has introduced some new tenants into the apartment. There’s lots to unpack, and while there will be more things to discuss in further detail on the recaps, there’s clearly things that will be getting some people talking now. Here we go…
- Sub Zero > G.O.A.T.? Sub Zero starts off the Triad district with a bang, defeating G.O.A.T. 26-14. That seems to be the opening shot of what promises to be a season-long rivalry.
- MOP Nation takes 2. The New England North had 2 matches this past weekend, and MOP won both of theirs to take a nice-sized lead. Clearly that post-season run helped immensely. Can they take control of a district that some people argue they should have controlled last season?
- Deep South Rivalry Brewing? Complete Anarchy, who have claimed that this was their district, starts out strong with a 32-8 win. Both the Savages (34-6) and Augusta Reign (32-8) follow suit, promising that the Deep South, with their new teams, could be one of the more fun districts this season.
- DILLIGAF? Maybe. Two of the new teams matched up, with DILLIGAF taking the 32-8 win over 187 Inc. The team that most of DILLIGAF came from, King’s Court, was also victorious. Mark the calendars down for when they meet up…
- DC Mafia gets shelled by SBC. Str8 Bizness Cartel, who ran the DMV South until DC Mafia took it over last season, decided that they want it back. The convincing 36-4 victory over DCM could be the start of a resurgence and a notice to the rest of the DMV South.
