Knowles’ 786 Strikes Down Strike City

Replacements Move Into First

Here’s the results from Tour Stop #4 of the NJ Shore District

Powerhouse: 33, Strike City 7
Strike City’s undefeated streak ends in brutal fashion, care of Fred Knowles Jr.’s 786, Brett Dusko’s 738 and Edward Prince’s 726. Danielle Suffill (752) and TJ Van Gorden (746) do what they can, but too much Powerhouse drops them to second. Powehouse moves up to the final playoff spot.

The Replacements: 36, Chozen Generation: 4
No one on Chozen Generation chose to shoot over a 660, which is unfortunate when Ed Carragher (748), Amanda Nardiello (740), Anthony Buczynski Jr. (723) and Rakim Tillery (711) go off for The Replacements. CG slumps down to 9th while The Replacements, who are the only team left in the district that’s undefeated in Tour Stop Play, now has a 23 point lead over Strike City.

Ocean Wave: 22, Goon Squad: 18
There are occasions that sometimes a win feels like a loss. Sure Ocean Wave won, and sure, with 8 people shooting 6’s or better, that improves them to 94-26 for the past 3 tour stops, but the fact that they only took 22 points (and barely won the wood by 64) means they remain in third, 1 point out of second. Cameron LaPlant shoots a 736 for the Goonies, who despite not having a tour stop win this year, take the most amount of points they have gotten this season, so that has to count as some sort of win, right?

We’ve Been Framed: 31, Team Matrix: 9
Team Matrix had a chance to move into second, but they get assimilated by WBF. And it could have been worse, because they only took the wood on the last handicap trios by 1 pin. Ken Chelednik (709) and Michael Blum (703) lead WBF to the Top 5 with a 67-13 record over the past 2 weeks. The Matrix get a 771 from Steve Szakacs and a combined 231 pins under average from everyone else on the first 2 trios as they get leapfrogged and fall to 6th. Maybe with the new movie ‘Matrix: Resurrections’ coming out in a few weeks they can regroup and use that as a bonding experience.

Tom’s River Rats: 22, Train Wreck: 18
Hey, it’s another 22-18! Tyler Huschak hits for a 729 and his team goes off to win his trio by 210 and the wood by 75. Northeast Heavyweight Champion William E. Harris (728) and Peter Tirado (720) help helm the other 2 trios, but the blowout in the one they didn’t win keeps them in 8th.

Alter Ego: 22, About That Money: 18
22-18 seems to be in style in this district. Another thing in style – one trio blowouts, as Rami Ahmed (731) and Chris McShane Jr. (701) gives that trio the win by an obscene 347 pins. Stewart Henry’s 730 gives the scratch team on ATM a 264 pin blowout of their own, but lack of 39 pins and a 30-90 record for the past 3 weeks keep them in 10th. Alter Ego remain in 7th.
