Business Unusual – As Usual

Welcome to the last day of 2021. While we bring in 2022, a few highlights come over my mind:

1. The UBA, as a whole, got through this year. Sure it was different, but we got through it.
2. The Season Brawl for All got us through the first 8 months of the year and congratulations to Outrage for winning the Brawl.
3. Congratulations to Josh Pittman, who leaves 2021 as the World Heavyweight Champion
4. We got back to normalcy in September, with Tour Stops, Team Rankings and World Championship Series.
5. You’ve Been Called Out, UBA Raw and Hot Pursuit made successful runs this year.

Now here’s some things coming up next year…

1. Some of you have already seen some of the UBA Tailgate (Complete with the Top 50 Motivational List).
2. Joe Algieri and ‘Real Talk’ will be making their way back in various iterations.
3. We good new tech goodies. We like goodies.
4. Expect more fun. And Surprises. That we can’t tell you yet. But we will Soon. Hopefully. heh.
5. And a little resolution – there’s lots of people that love to trash talk and ‘OG’s that hopefully will show up when the Northeast and Southeast Draft arrives. The Southeast Draft is already at sold out capacity. There’s always things going on in the Northeast, but as there are thousands of UBA bowlers in the north, a little challenge for the OG-ers: if you want to be a part of the action, then show up and be a part of the action.

Finally, though it looks like the site is a one-person show, there are many people who help to contribute to the site. my own thank yous (in alphabetical order, so I don’t insult anyone. Heh) .

• Phil Chance, for allowing me to use this as a portal to use this as another voice for the UBA
• Steve Clouse, for his continual guidance within and outside the UBA
• Jonathan Dansbury (Northeast WCS) for all of the information given and supplied to help with the WCS.
• Kevin Decker (Southeast WCS) for his columns and help with the Southeast WCS
• Nate Diaz for being the Battle Bowl Pursuer
• Rudy Feliciano for his presence in front of and behind the microphone.
• Julio Hernandez for his work on the UBA Tailgaters and You’ve Been Called Out
• Douglas Herron (WCS Coordinator) for all of the info, pictures, etc.
• Tom Jordan for being the first pursuer in Hot Pursuit
• Janneane ‘Hollywood’ Lampley, for being the psychological rock and advice giver.
• Kevin Nguyen for his excellent camera work.
• Paul ‘Jersey? What Jersey?’ Rodriguez for his help in front of the mic.
• Tynell Tate for continuing to help the growth of the UBA today
• Tom Twist for his column and voice through the UBA
• Andre Welbon for his work in the DMV and his Bad Twin Meandering, Eye on the Culture and Thirsty Thursday Columns
• Sagirah Wheeler for her assisting Jonathan Dansbury and her ‘Striking for Knowledge’ columns.

And last but not least, you the reader. Just this month alone, thousands of you have shown up tens of thousands of times. For the year, there’s been over 100,000 hits, so from my heart, thank you.
