We are going to be checking out all of the districts. This preview covers Pennsylvania South in the Northeast Conference. Just in case you didn’t check out the Season Brawl, here’s how this works:
FAVORITES: One of the teams I think will win the district and should be a lock to place in the Top 4 and make the playoffs.
LEGITIMATE THREAT: Could win the District. Should be in the running to make the playoffs.
CONTENDERS: They could stick around for a while, but certain unexpected things need to swing their way for them to win
DARK HORSE: They COULD win, but A LOT of things need to swing their way – like everyone running out to Parx Casino to play Pai Gow Tiles (Ok just a note – no one would do that – EXCEPT me. Heh).
Last season, the top 4 teams broke away from the rest of the pack. With one of them not returning, this gives us at least one spot for grabs and a potential jumbling of the spots. If you’re a team that wasn’t one of the top4, this is good news. Who will take advantage?
FAVORITES
SECRET SOCIETY: They have perennially been the cream of the crop in this district. Chances are they will still continue to churn out wins and playoff runs.
KINGSMEN: They were a mess 2 seasons ago, but they came in second place last season, so credit to where credit is due. Can they keep that up for a second season?
THE USUAL SUSPECTS: What’s quite usual is that they once again finished in the top and grabbed a Season Brawl for All title (though them bottoming out at Bowlerama during Battle Bowl was VERY unusual). Can they repeat their usual patterns of winning?
LEGITIMATE THREAT
FIRE FOXX: Welcome to the PA South. They were a part of last season’s PA North Clump, but can they equate the success here?
SHOWTIME: The lack of consistency hurt them, but they have more than enough talent to return to the playoffs.
MASS DESTRUCTION: Never underestimate a Malachi Moore team – especially as he’s had time to recruit and reload.
CONTENDERS
RIVAL ALLIANCE: Lett fortification and more rivalling – as long as they focus that towards their opponents, and not against themselves.
SOUTH JERSEY STRIKE FORCE: Another new team that can throw a lot of strikes. They needs to be more consistant on lanes that they are not familiar with.
DARK HORSE
MID-COUNTY WOOD WHACKERS – They didn’t whack a lot of wood. But loke a lot of the other teams, they have had a chance to replenish their line-up. Did they do a good job getting more whacking?
