We are going to be checking out all of the districts. This preview covers The New England South in the All-American Conference. Just in case you didn’t check out the Season Brawl, here’s how this works:
FAVORITES: One of the teams I think will win the district and should be a lock to place in the Top 4 and make the playoffs.
LEGITIMATE THREAT: Could win the District. Should be in the running to make the playoffs.
CONTENDERS: They could stick around for a while, but certain unexpected things need to swing their way for them to win
DARK HORSE: They COULD win, but A LOT of things need to swing their way – like free tickets to the Mystic Sun Aquarium luring all of the other teams away from the alley
With a full 13 teams in the District, look for the New England South to be one of the more competitive spots in the UBA. Who is going to be triumphant? Who is going to wish they took those Mystic Sun Aquarium tickets instead? Let’s take a look…
FAVORITES
THE FALLOUT: They won the district by a wide margin last season. Is it really going to be that easy twice in a row?
HOUNDS OF WAR: They have made waves in the UBA before and are looking to do it again. Did they shore up that scratch bowler issue? Or are they doubling down on the handicap side?
PUBLIC ENEMY: They represented the District in the Season Brawl and they have a wicked lineup to reckon with. If they can replicate the success during the regular season, you will see them in the playoffs.
THE COMMISSION: They also made a major move last year. They have had traditional success in this district, so no reason why not to put them here as well.
LEGITIMATE THREAT
POUND 4 POUND: They showed up last year as well. And they came in second place last season, so you can expect them in the mix.
SILVER LANES EXPRESS: The SLE tied with P4P. Now did they make the same moves some of the teams I placed over them have done?
THE FURY: They finished 2 points behind P4P and SLE. I did say this was going to be one of the most competitive Districts in the UBA this season, did I not?
CONTENDERS
TORNADO ALLEY: The whirled their way to mid-pack last season. Can they make that next move in the heat of improved line-ups from some of their competitors?
SHEER VENGEANCE: They have a very long road to hike, but this team does have talent. That being said, they need to beat the teams they can beat up on, instead of last season, where they lost to teams that maybe they shouldn’t have lost to.
THE DARKSIDE: This team has made the playoffs before and their talent should not have them finishing in 10th place, which is what happened last season. That won’t happen again this season.
DARK HORSE
ICE NATION: Now they really shouldn’t be here (well they should because they stunk last season) but last year they made some moves and were respectable during the Season Brawl series. Now can they translate that into wins here?
OP3N B0WL3R2: Last year showed them what they needed to do to be competitive in this district. Did they make the right moves to make that happen?
NEW ENGLAND HEAT: I’m not sure why you would move from a district of 8 teams (where they finished last) to a district of 12 teams. They may know something that we don’t. For their sake, they better have.
