Battle Bowl WCS Predictions

Does Gordon think Josh Pittman is holding on to the World Heavyweight Championship?

It’s the big bad grand daddy of them all. It’s Battle Bowl. Which means it’s time to predict what’s going on with the World Championship Series. And it’s also time for my silly predictions which will either be proven true or it will motivate the person who I don’t select to make me look bad. But this season, I’ve been looking good – I am 21-9 since the UBA restarted. But how will I do at BattleBowl?

WINNER GETS A WORLD TITLE MATCH
Northeast Heavyweight Champion Ducky Russell

Vs.
Southeast Heavyweight Champion James Kniffen
Kniffen has had a taste of the big lights before and hasn’t delivered. And unlike in the Southeast, Russell
brings a brand of mental trash game Kniffen hasn’t seen in the South. That being said, this looks like a mismatch on paper and while Kniffen must avoid the mental mistakes Russell’s opponents have produced, if he does that, he’ll be seeing Josh Pittman on Saturday.
Prediction: Kniffen in 6

WINNER Vs. Josh Pittman for the World Title
This is going to be fun, regardless of who wins. But this is a lot closer than it looks on paper and by the time all of the bowlers have had their view on the line, this is going to go the distance. Pittman has the experience to prevail but this won’t come easy. And if there’s a new champion, it won’t be surprising.
Prediction: Pittman in 7

NORTHEAST VIXENS TITLE:
Hermie Hannibal (Silent Killerz)

vs.
Khadijah McGill (Secret Society)
It’s no secret that I love the Vixen’s matches and it’s about time that Hermie gets a little Battle Bowl spotlight. McGill, from the DMV, is a great foil, and this is going to be a classic experience Vs. Power match-up. I’m going with the experience, but this will be a fun match.
Prediction: Hannibal in 7

CRUISERWEIGHT TITLE:
Bryan Andes (Dysfunctional Bowlers)
vs.
Justin Doslik (Goon Squad)
A Doslik win will give the Goon Squad their first ever title, while if Andes wins, it’ll stay in the belt-laden family of the Dysfunctional Bowlers. Getting the belt off Andes is going to be a mammoth challenge, especially if he starts striking. But the one thing that’s different between him and previous holder Raul Renteria is that Andes is slower on the adjustment and that’s where Doslik must strike. I’ve been calling chalk so far, so I’m going to go upset here.
Prediction: Doslik in 7

WELTERWEIGHT TITLE:
Lisa Williams (Philadelphia Horsemen)
vs.
Ian Greene (BOA)
Lisa Williams has been waiting a VERY long time for this moment – and she gets to defend on the biggest screen to do it. Ian Greene has been here for a while and while he’s a worthy competitor, I don’t see Williams losing the title for awhile. At least not yet.
Prediction: Williams in 5

CLASSIC TAG TEAM:
Eddie Williams/Karla Pereira (Secret Society)
vs.
Rex Schofield/Francis Schofield (Southampton Samurai)
The Society had to hold on VERY tight to get to Battle Bowl. They may think they get an easier match-up, but the Schofields have been here before. While they weren’t successful, they have the tools to get it done and the focus will once again be on Eddie Williams. This match could go ither way, so it’s coin flip time…
Prediction: Secret Society in 7

UNCAPPED TAG TEAM:
Matthew Frei-Funk/David Nagelhout (Dysfunctional Bowlers)
vs.
Darren Baker/Derrick Rollins (Contract Killaz)
Like so many of the other bowlers here, Darren Baker has been a long time resident on this list, and it’s nice to see him finally get a title shot. This may not have been the one he wanted – though it took a tripped 6 pin for Dysfunctional Bowlers to hold on to their title. Can they hold on to it this time around? Did Dysfunctional learn their lesson during their last match?
Prediction: Dysfunctional Bowlers in 6
