Breaking Down Season Brawl #11

Gordon Pepper breaks down Season Brawl #11

Before we start, a few reminders:

  1. This is in order of time, not in order of numbers. So This is the 4th Brawl that will happen from a date perspective.
  2. There is still one more team to be filled. If there’s enough time for me to add the team in, then I will. If not, don’t complain at me that your team wasn’t mentioned. You’re late 😛
  3. Here’s the ranking markers:

FAVORITES: One of the teams I think will win the whole thing
LEGITIMATE THREAT: Not one of the front-runners, but if they win it wouldn’t be a surprise
CONTENDERS: They could stick around for a while, but certain unexpected things need to swing their way for them to win
DARK HORSE: They COULD win, but A LOT of things need to swing their way – like Ted DiBiase giving a million dollars to each of the other teams so they all leave the alley.

So let’s start:

FAVORITES
G.O.A.T.: Say what you want about G.O.A.T. – the fact is that they dominate the Southeast and have a bunch of titles to go with it. Ask Mal Williams and Dre Gaither about the latest ones they procured.

HITMEN: Say what you want about Hitmen – the fact is that they also dominate and although they don’t have a UBA Team Championship yet, they are more than capable of achieving such a feat. Who else wants to see a Hitmen Vs. G.O.A.T. Final?

LEGITIMATE THREAT
CAROLINA SWAG: They finished right behind G.O.A.T. and Hitmen, so they are quite dangerous. Brad Kurth’s team knows how to get it done and it wouldn’t be too shocking if this is how they get revenge on either (or both) Triad District teams from last season.

REALITY CHECK: Last season showed that their debut showing a few years ago was not a fluke. This team can easily get to the end or better – especially if G.O.A.T. and Hitmen have to play each other before the finals.

WATCHMEN: You could have argued that this would be a lock for new team of the year last season. How can they play against teams outside their district?

CONTENDERS
OUTKASTS: What the heck happened to them last season? Let’s remove that from behind them and focus on the here and now. If they can turn back into the team that made some damage in the regular season a few years back, then they can be a team to watch. If not…

DARK HORSE
THE RIOT SQUAD:
Ok, before I get the hate e-mail and scowlings I’m going to get by doing this, let’s be blunt; last season for you all blew worse than Kim Kardashian in a flute factory. We all know you’re better than a sub .500 team – which is what we got last year – so consider this motivation to do better and prove yourself this weekend.
