1:05 – Wheeler in the 9th leaves the 10 pin and makes the spare. Wheeler needs them all in the tenth and leaves a 10 pin. She makes the spare and finishes with a 205 BUT Yvette Ford only needs a 6 count to be the new Vixen’s Champion. With a 9 count on said shot, Ford wins 216-205 and is the NEW Northeast Vixen’s Champion.
1:00 – Wheeler with 4 in a row. Ford needs a strike in the 9th for 6 in a row and guarantee to have control of her own destiny. Ford leaves the 2/4/5/10 and chops the tenth. Door is wide open for Wheeler.
12:57 – Ford doubles in the 4th and 5th and is starting to add to her lead. Wheeler doubles as well and the intensity is now starting to ramp up. Ford now has 4 in a row. Pressure back to Wheeler.
12:55 – GAME 6 – There’s 2 games left in this match. Wheeler must win both or there will be a new Vixen’s champion. And right now, she’s in a 19 pin hole after back to back opens in the second and third frame. Ford is staying clean and right now, that’s good enough. Dansbury, ‘Wheeler has to pick up the pace in game 6 if she wants to see a game 7’.
12:50 – Wheeler strikes in the 9th, so Ford must strike in the 9th – which she does – and hit the first one in the 10th – which she doesn’t. The spare is good, which forces Wheeler to double. First shot – 2/4. No strike here, which means that Ford wins 194-177 and goes up 3-2.
12:45 – Wheeler now has a double and takes the lead back. She can go out for 222 (Vs. Ford’s 216). That being said, she leaves the 4/6/9/10 and Ford gets the advantage back.
12:40 – Wheeler leaves the 2/4/6/10, returning the gift Ford gave her. It’s X-Mas time! Back to back opens gives Ford the lead back. Ford up by 20 after 5.
12:35 – Game 5 – Wheeler has gone clean for 3. Ford has a double….and a Nixon. Champion up by 6 after 3.
12:30 – Wheeler can’t carry down the stretch and the best she can do is 218, but she’s only down 8 as we go into the 10th. Wheeler gets the first strike but not the second (she finishes with a 208), so all Ford needs to do is mark. First ball is a strike and that’s the win. Ford wins 234-208 and we’re tied up at 2.
12:25 – Wheeler can take the lead with another strike but leaves a 10 pin. Champion down 9 going into the 8th frame.
12:20 – An open from Ford opens the door for Wheeler, who picks up her first double in the game. Ford is still up but Wheeler is within striking range going into the 7th frame.
12:15 – Sagirah Wheeler’s ‘sister’ joins the match and she has to like what she sees – until the sees Wheeler tapping the first 3 frames and Ford coming out with the front 3. Ford looking to tie this one up at 2.
12:10 – Wheeler has the front 4 and a 9 pin for the 5th frame. Fords tappiung and Ford with the front 3. that starts tappiung and Ford with the front 3. has yet to double, and no double spells trouble. Wheeler up by 22 going into the later frames of Game 3 and gets the win. Wheeler takes it 248-196 and goes up 2-1 in the match.
12:05 – Game 3 – Strike, 10 pin for Ford. Front 3 for Wheeler. Sagirah with the early lead. Dansbury predicts 250+ on Wheeler.
Noon – 10th frame for Wheeler….strike on the first ball…and the second ball. 9 on the fill but it doesn’t matter, as she wins 235-224 and we are tied at 1 game apiece.
11:55 – Ford is putting on the pressure to Wheeler, throwing a 3-bagger. Wheeler is up to the task, matching her shot for shot…until the 9th frame, but Wheeler is still in control by making the spare. Wheeler needs 20 in the 10th to tie the match.
11:50 – Ford needs to play catch-up but she isn’t stringing, which leaves Wheeler a lot of cushion in game 2. Ford’s missing the 10 pin doesn’t help. Wheeler also misses a 10 pin to make this close. After 5, 107-96, Wheeler.
11:45 – Wheeler starts off strong. Ford with 2 taps and an open for an early deficit. Champ looking to tie it up.
11:40 – Kandace Little and Terri Bollinger have won Vixen’s Titles for Boardwalk Empire. Ford is looking to be the next in that legacy. She’ll be up 1-0 in a few minutes. Ford wins 243-207.
