UBA Post Up – Talk Talk

Time for a little Weekend Post Up, where we go through what’s been going on and what we’ll be looking forward to this week. Let’s start it up…

1. New York is still closed, but…
   …there finally seems to be some stirring in the Empire State. There will be a bunch of meetings with Governor Mario Cuomo and some other heads of state with the intention of reopening up the NY bowling alleys. Stay tuned….
2. Nationwide bowling houses open up August 14
   Nationwide Bowling houses are a chain of 10+ houses that include Bowler City, Hudson Lanes, Boonton Lanes, and more. At least some of those houses are expected to open up on Friday, August 14. Will they stay on course?
3. Appealage
   As for North Carolina, there are also battles ramping up in the Southeast alleys. WHat happens in NY may be a big key for what will happen in NC.
4. Winter league meetings
   A number of leagues will be having their Winter League meetings starting this week. How will the virus affect things?
5. You want tournaments?
   It shouldn’t have to be said if you’ve been following social media. But yes, there’s lots of tournaments to whet your starvation of lack of Summer leagues or bowling events.
